Traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate
Kazoku (Family) Dojo was born out of the desire to help promote and preserve Traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate.
Students will receive instruction in traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate as taught by the IOGKF (International Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate-Do Federation). As members of the IOGKF, students have the opportunity to attend and train with the world's best Goju practitioners at yearly Gasshukus (training camps) and compete in the annual "friendship tournament".
Our programs are designed to help build character, confidence, strength, discipline and skill. The program consists of warm-ups, stretching, Kihon (basics), flexibility and balance training and traditional kata in addition to Japanese terminology and education on the history of karate.
Our students learn as individuals at their own pace and emphasis is put on developing and increasing the abilities of each Karate-ka (student).
